Over the past week, we have been slowly getting work done on a both our system-installer and our website.
As you may have noticed, our website now lists the blog in the global menu, as well as has a new blog home page. This is thanks to our Web Developer Logan L Johnson and his tireless work to make our website awesome.
On a another thread, we have also been working to add some new features to system-installer, as well as adding unit tests and fixing some bugs which cropped up in the Ubuntu 19.10 to 20.04 transition. Most of these features are pretty unique to system-installer, such as quick-install config file support, access to a chrooted terminal immediately post installation. And some other things down the line. We also added auto-login configuration too, because we didn’t think about that before hand and it needed to be in there.
So far, things are still working well. New features introduce new bugs of course, but we will be tackling these bugs one by one in the coming weeks, making our system installer more robust and pleasant to use.
In the mean time, thanks for reading our latest blog post!
